UNIT 12..

YOUNG PEOPLE GENERALLY DON'T PAY ENOUGH ATTENTION
                                         TO THIER HEALTH AND FITNESS

The majority of the teenagers have on unhealthy lifestyle. They don't care about their health and fitness and it can be dangerous for them.
To start with young people spend too much time in front of a computer late at night and don't have enough sleeping hours. What is more, they usually have a small breakfast before going to their daily activities and at the end of the day they feel stressed because they lack of energy which was not supplied by a breakfast or meal during the day.
Secondly, there are lots of students smoke. Smoking is really bad for their lungs and they can have breathing problems and cancer. Although young people know about this problems, they aren't worried about that because they think it will never happen to them.
However, there are many young people are interested in getting fit. They care about their diet and go to the gym. They do any sort of exercises which keeps them in shape.
All in all, I think that in young people is important to get enough excersice. So they should think about joining a gym or go for a regular walk or run. Apart from that they shouldn't eat fast food in order to have a health lifestyle.

A STORY

I will always remember that day as one of the happiest days of my life. It was a summer holiday. I was just thirteen years old. In that moment I saw "chiquititas" . One day I was listening to the radio and one programme was rafflling a ticket to a breakfast with Sebastian Francini and Santiago Stieben.  So I participated and I had luck I won the ticket.
Then , I went to the shopping I remember that my mum bought me a camera. I was so happy.
The day came, and I was very nervous. The night before I coludn't sleep so I was anxious for seeing them.
That morning I woke up early and then I went to the hotel where it was the meeting
when I entered  I saw them and my heart was bleating hard. Luckily I could seat next to them. I took lots of pictures and we had an interesting chat. That one meeting made it a day I will never forget

A report

Improving our neighbourhood

INTRODUCTION
The aim of this report is to suggest some ideas to improve our neighbourhood.

EMERGENCY ROOM
First of all, my neighbourhood is far from the hospital. So, it is neccessary to have a emergency room, because when there is an accident the ambulance takes long time to get there.

BETTER LIGHTING
Every street has three lamp post but some of them do not turn on. Also there is a square which has little light. At night there, there are always couples or unknown people or they are in a strange situation. For this reason neighbours stopped going there.

RECOMMENDATION
I recommend spending the money on this project because these things are essencially basic. It would benefit security and confortably to our neighbourhood.

UNIT 9

Being famous or successful without fame?

The lure of being famous is so great among people that perhaps no one would pass up the opportunity of being famous. The greatest advantage of being famous is those people are usually very rich so they have an easier life than other people. They do not have worry about paying bills, can affort the best things. What is more their name is known by everyone. Then they are invited to the best parties.

However, being recognized by everyone in the street can be annoying. Famous people have no privacy, paparazzi try to photograph them all the time, they always are involved in gossip. Fame carries worry about their own safety and the safety of their family.

On the other hand, being successful means having accomplished all things that you wanted to do in your life but you are not thinking to be famous. Although you are not a very well-known person, it is sastifaction of getting a position that you love because you made all your effort. Also you have a normal life, having enough privacity to live peaceful and enjoy your life without problems

All in all, despite the advantages of being famous I prefer to be successful and not well-known, instead.

Which sports?
The dam is situated about 85km from capital city of Salta. It is between the mountains and young people would enjoy sports which take place in that area. They could enjoy activities such as bungee jumping, rafting, and kayaking. And also they can doing hiking, mountain bike and climbing.

Benefits to youngsters
Doing these activities would benefit by making new friends, encouraging. At the same time they would bacome fitter.

                                        REGGINA'S RESTAURANT

There are many restaurants in Jujuy. But in my opinion the best is Reggina's. It located in Independencia Street.

Reggina has a charming and relaxing atmosphere. The background music is pleaseant and the soft lighting creates a cosy atmosphere. These elements combined with the modern decor, appeal to customers of all ages. Despite the fact that the staff are well trained and and polite.

It has a wide variety of delicious local and international dishes as well as an excellent choice of starters and desserts. In my opinion the pastas was particularly tasty and also the other dishes are delicious such as fish store, lamb chops, roast chicken, scourse, etc. Although the dishes are big , the meal come to about $35 per person which we though was very reasonable.

I highly recommended this restaurant because its diches are delightful , its services is wonderfull and well-trained and it offers firts class of food at reasonable prices.

WHAT A RELIEF

It's was a trip I'll never forget. We were very excited because it was our first trip. I was at primary school. At that moment we were studying about National Parks. Then my teacher had decided to organize an excursion to a wildlife Park.

We had decided to go Los Cardones National Park because it was one of the parks that were close. We found the tour round the park fascinating because we were seeing animals we had only read about in books before we were delighted to see then in real life.
After that, we had walked around the park . We had a break. Iris , one of my best friend , and I were very curious and disturb. We were bored so we decided to walk along the forest then, when we arrived to a stream, we saw two tiny puma cubs playing happily near the stream. I immediately took the camera from my pocket and began to take photos.

While we were looking at pumas, we heard a noise behind us. When we turned round we saw a enormous puma's mother. There was nowhere to hide and no time to run away from the angry puma. So we decided to lie down and not move. We were lay absolutely stilll face down on the ground, with our eyes tightly closed in terror. We heard the puma approach, felt its hot breath as it sniffed us. Finally, we heard it walking away. When we were sure the puma had gone we got up, crying tears of relief. I could not believe we had such a lucky escape. All in all, it was a very memorable trip.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for your e-mail. It's a good idea to coming Salta. It's does't matter about the weather because the differents seasons are wonderful. If you don't like winter you can choose other seasons.

If you want to meet young people. I suggest going to Balcarce Street, discos, festivals etc. You have a lots of places where you can spend a goog time with friends.

As I said you before about the weather .It is usually quiet changeable so you should bring some light clothes for the daytime but a jacket for the night.

Thanks also for your invitation to join the group. I hope to be free when you come because I have been working ultimately. Let me know when you're coming so, I can organise myself with my work but don't worry because I promise you to show interesting things and places here!

Best wishes,

Daiana

Penguins

Penguins are one of about 40 species of flightless birds, a category that also includes the ostrich, rhea, cassowary, emu and kiwi.
Penguins live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, on Antarctic, New Zealand, and the southern tips of South America and Africa.
Penguins typically live on islands or others secluded areas where there is minimal threat from land predators.
The ideal climate for these flightless birds depends on the species. For example, the Galápagos penguins live on tropical islands while the Emperor and Adélie penguins are found on the ice of Antarctic.
Unlike most others birds, penguins can't fly. They waddle on land and swim in the sea. When swimming fast, they jump out of the water every few meters, just like dolphins do.
The top layer of a penguin's skin is made of thousands of small, stiff feathers. The air between the feathers is good insulation. To make their 'coat' even more water- and windproof penguins spread some oil on it (this oil comes from a gland above their tail). Below the feathers is a thick layer of blubber to keep the penguins warm.
Once a year, penguins shed their feathers and grow new ones. The old feathers come off in patches and at the same time new feathers grow. This takes about three weeks and during this period the penguins do not eat nor swim. The largest penguin subspecies is the emperor penguin,an average Emperor penguin stands about 114 centimetres tall and weighs 41 kilograms. The smallest is the fairy penguin, also known as little blue penguin, these birds stand 25 cm tall on average and weigh about 1.1 kg.
Penguins eat only seafood, including krill, squid and various fish. Because they don’t have teeth, penguins swallow their prey whole. They use their pointy beaks to catch the prey and their textured tongues to hold onto the food while they swallow it.
Of the 17 penguin species on Earth, 13 are considered either threatened or endangered. Penguins face several threats to their survival, the most common of which are pollution and human encroachment to their habitats, as well as new mammalian predators such as dogs, cats and weasels that have been introduced by humans to penguins' environments. Other threats include commercial fishing, as penguins are sometimes caught as a byproduct, oil dumping . In addition, climate change appears to be playing a large role in the declining population of penguin species. As waters warm, the ice that makes up their habitat melts, leaving limited space available for penguins to breed.
Many organizations out there strive to protect penguins. These humans spend their time and their money to be able to successfully help them to survive. They educate others on the needs of penguins and what has been done to them. These volunteers are key to the survival of penguins in many other ways too. For example they offer their help when there is an imminent threat to a colony of them. This can be due to a natural disaster or even chemicals being spilled into the waters where they hunt for prey. Also there are some organizations that have helped to move penguins into captivity. Their goal is to help them to thrive in an environment that is as similar to the wild as they can get it
